Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD, TMJ or TMD), or TMJ syndrome, is an umbrella term covering acute or chronic inflammation of the temporomandibular joint, which connects the mandible to the skull. The disorder and resultant dysfunction can result in significant pain and impairment. Because the disorder transcends the boundaries between several health-care disciplines — in particular, dentistry, neurology, physical therapy, and psychology — there are a variety of treatment approaches. |

Restorative dentistry is the study, diagnosis and integrated management of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures and the rehabilitation of the dentition to functional and aesthetic requirements of the individual. Restorative dentistry encompasses the dental specialties of endodontics, periodontics and prosthodontics and its foundation is based upon how these interact in cases requiring multifaceted care.Prosthetic dentistry is the specialty of implant, esthetic and reconstructive dentistry. Prosthodontists restores oral function through prostheses and restorations (i.e., complete dentures, crowns, implant retained/supported restorations). |

Snoring and Sleep Apnea Management is a new field in dentistry that evaluates the dental contributory factor on snorers and to apneic patients in their predisposition to the condition. Evaluation aims to find out the upper airway obstructions in the nose and throat (pharyngeal area). These obstruction lead to mouth breathing, thus snoring results in a noisy breathing while asleep. Annoying noisy sound is not only the concern but primarily the apneic episodes that put the life of individual in danger. Apnea is a condition that unconsciously put a person to stop breathing for at least 10 seconds or more wherein the brain is deprived of oxygen supply which in a worst scenario may result to brain death if not medically attended. Prolong and chronic apneic episodes could also be bad to another medical conditions such as high blood pressure (circulatory problem), frequent headaches, sleep disorders, heart problem, sexual problem (erectile dysfunction), lung problem, excessive day time sleepiness, irritability (mood swings), and aggravation of diabetic and kidney conditions. |

A Dental Implant is an artificial tooth root replacement and is used in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth or group of teeth. There are several types of dental implants. The major classifications are divided into osseointegrated implant and the fibrointegrated implant. Earlier implants, such as the subperiosteal implant and the blade implant were usually fibrointegrated. The most widely accepted and successful implant today is the osseointegrated implant, based on the discovery by Swedish Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark that titanium can be successfully fused into bone when osteoblasts grow on and into the rough surface of the implanted titanium. This forms a structural and functional connection between the living bone and the implant. A variation on the implant procedure is the implant-supported bridge, or implant-supported denture. |

Quantum Biofeedback, is similar to that of a virus-scan on a computer. It finds the energetic imbalances of stressors such as virus, nutritional imbalances, allergies, abnormalities, and food sensitivities by calculating the biological reactivity and resonance in your body. This data offers an understanding of your possible needs, dysfunction, and vulnerabilities. The information focuses on your energetic body, which offers a more complete view of each facet of your health. |

Bad Breath (Halitosis), is the unpleasant odor emitted from the mouth. This is an embarrassing condition wherein some people aren’t aware of. This is the result of proteins breakdown by bacteria. Gum Diseases is an infection of the gums which is caused by a film of bacteria that coats everyone’s teeth. It can occur at any age, but it is most common among adults. In the early reversible stage of gum disease, called gingivitis, gums can become red, swollen and bleed easily. When the disease progresses to the bone, which supports the teeth, it is called periodontitis and at that point can cause irreversible damage. In the advanced stages of the disease, the bone and soft tissues which support the teeth are destroyed and this may cause the teeth to become loose, fall out, or have to be removed by a dentist. |

Biological dentistry, relates to removing major obstacles to healthy living and hasten recovery from chronic illness. It stresses the relationship of oral health to total wellness because of the interconnection of the teeth to body organ. This fact was made known when it was established that the teeth and body organs share the same pathway (meridians). A trained biological dentists focuses on the use of safe or the least toxic restorative materials for dental works and is alert on the unrecognized impact of dental toxins and the hidden infections as a health hazard to unsuspecting patients. |

Pain Free Dentistry (Conscious Sedation) - This type of sedation is a state of very deep relaxation. Conscious sedation has an amnesic effect for some patient and they will remember virtually nothing about their dental appointment. All body functions remain normal and the person is able to breathe on their own. He can also respond to the request of others such as opening and closing the mouth while the dental procedure is in session.
Intravenous Sedation (Administered in dental office) - This uses medications administered directly into the persons blood stream. The advantage of IV sedation is that if someone is not as “deep” as the doctor would like them to be more medication can be given and the effects are instantaneous. |
